THE BEST GIFTS ARE THE ONES YOU CAN NOT BUY :)

Well today my girls came home from school its the last day now they are on winter break. But they would not let me wait til christmas to open my gifts from them. They are kids they were so excited for me to see the gifts that even though I asked them if I could wait they insisted no I open them now and they are the cutest sweetest gifts ever, which made me think about it more and more the best gifts are the ones you can not buy. so I wanted to share with you all my great gifts from my girls.
Alyssa made me a candle holder out of a baby food jar and cute little gems that she glued to it and added a tea light inside so I can burn it tonight, and also the other item is a home made envelope and inclosed in it is a package of hot chocolate that I can make and have to help warm me up in this cold snowy weather :)

This is another gift from Alyssa it is my christmas mouse he is made out of brown paper bag and his tail is a candy cane. He is a great little treat so cute you dont want to eat him.

And Ashley made me this great treasure that I will keep forever. This is a plate that she hand painted and then to personalize this they put their hands in paint and put there hand print on the plate. The teacher added there names and year so that you will always know when this great gift was made.

Here is an email I got that really makes you think about things

Well I received this poem from a friend and I thought I would share it with everyone cause it really does hit home.

Please read through this short poem and also the comments at the end.

'Twas the month before Christmas when all through our land,
Not a Christian was praying nor taking a stand.
Why the PC Police had taken away,
The reason for Christmas - no one could say.
The children were told by their schools not to sing,
About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.
It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say
December 25th is just a " Holiday .
" Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit
Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!
CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-pod
Something was changing, something quite odd!
Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa
In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.
As Targets are hanging their trees upside down
At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.
At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears
You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.
Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-is-ty
Are words that were used to intimidate me.
Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen
On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton !
At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter
To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.
And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith
Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace
The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded
The reason for the season, stopped before it started.
So as you celebrate "Winter Break" under your "DreamTree"
Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.
Choose your words carefully,
choose what you say Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS, NOT Happy Holiday !

Each time I enter a store this year, and over the past few years, the absence of the true meaning of Christmas has been so evident to me that the Holy Spirit within me is deeply grieved. I hope you'll contemplate what you've read here, and TAKE A STAND for Christianity. Please don't just sit back and complacently allow our faith to be suppressed in this great country which was FOUNDED on that faith. As is evident, we are no longer the great country we once were, and we continue to decline as a society. If we are not careful and don't INSIST that God be given His place in our country, I believe He will allow those who desire to eliminate Him from our society to be successful. Remember, "Without Me, you can do NOTHING" (John 15:5) and, "I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me". (Philippians 4:13) Please, don't be afraid to stand up for CHRIST this CHRISTmas, and always! WISE men STILL seek Him!! MERRY CHRISTMAS! In His Love.-- Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.

HOLIDAY HUSTLE AND BUSTLE

Well the holidays are upon us and everyone know what that means. SHOPPING SHOPPING AND YES U GUESSED IT MORE SHOPPING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been out the last couple weekends doing some shopping and I must say People get so much ruder the closer the holiday comes. So for those of you who have already experienced some holiday rudeness hang in there. I find that If I let it go It will not ruin the rest of my day.

Tim on the other hand likes to be rude back but all that gets you is knowing you are just as ignorant as the rest of the rude people out there.

So in conclusion when you start to have a horrible holiday experience just do what I do and sing your favorite christmas tune to yourself and let it go.

SO HAVE A HAPPY AND SAFE HOLIDAY SEASON EVERYONE

and here is a link for my favorite christmas song :)

PHYSICALLY, AND EMOTIONALLY EXHAUSTED :-(

Well today has been a physically and emotionally exhausting day, It was the last day of our funeral services and the hardest day ever. I cried so much today I thought I would die of dehydration. LOL But seriously I would not take a million dollars to re-live this day. It is hard enough the pain of losing a loved one, but to have to experience the hurt thru your childs eyes is even worse, I must say that she was really strong, the first day she cried at the first sight of him in the casket and was pretty strong once that first shock was gone, but today the last day of service the final goodbye, was so painful I would not wish it on my worst enemy, I felt her pain in my heart, I was hurting myself but to see her hurting was the worst part. The services were held in a baptist church in Detroit, (GOD"S HOUSE OF PRAYER) I have never been to a baptist church but It was a very lively experience, the service was really good, there were a few things they did that I found odd, but it was a African American funeral so I expected they do some things differently then what I am a custom to. But Like I said when I started this blog I am physically and emotionally drained so drained I can not even function to type all I wanted to tell everyone about the services maybe I will feel better tomorrow or a few days, So I am closing with a thank you to everyone for keeping us in your prayers, and I will write again soon I promise :)

THE HARDEST THING I HAVE EVER HAD TO DO

Well this week has been one crazy week for me. I started a Diet, I thougth Tim was going to go to Jail for Child support issues but beyond all that, I got the worst news Thursday Night. I received a phone call from my oldest Daughters Step mother, She called to let me know that My daughters father passed away. Besides being in total shock. I was instantly in tears. When you have a child with someone no matter where your paths lead you after you still have a bond and connection and I am still in such a sad state. But to top it off I had to look at my 10 year old daughter and sit her down and explain to her that her father was dead. I can honestly say this was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. The hurt that she felt cut me like 10 thousand knives in my heart. with each of her tears I cried a million more, to see her go through such hurt and loss. We discussed everything about Death and I asked if she wanted to go to the funeral she said yes. Which I know is what he would have wanted. Even though he and I did not stay together I know he loved her with all his heart. And so now this Saturday we are headed to Michigan the funeral services are Monday and the final service is Tuesday. I pray to god that this not be too hard. I lost my father at 15 and I know how I felt I can not imagine how my 10 year old is feeling she has not said much about it today. But I am praying that things go well and that letting her attend is the right decision. Please keep us in your prayers and to all my Michigan family I will be up there for a week so I will try to get in touch with everyone bye for now.

Well My girls just had there picture day in beinging of September and They actually got them back on Friday WOW SO FAST, I was shocked when they came through the door with them and of course one is happy about her picture the other one is like my hair is ugly my shirt looks dumb wow she is becoming a little me and she is only 10. LOL but I thought I would share the pics with you guys. I dont think they are bad at all. But I am mom so I am bias.
And yes Alyssa hair is not supposed to be straight pigtails across one was supposed to be a off the side pony tail that was curly and the other was pulled back but by the time pictures were took it did not work out that way at all. But I still think they are not that bad.
